There was some discussion a few council meetings ago from Jeff Berg about the study that we spent thousands of dollars on to help bring in more business. What is the city going to do about it? I would guess that since the city spent the money, which was approved and supported by the council, but was done during the Estok years, that nothing will be done about. Why? Because Chambers hates Estok and anything that Estok had to do with city growth. Chambers doesn't care about the city as long as he's getting a paycheck. If he did, he would do something about this study and try to bring more business into Knox. Not to blame Rick completly, but the council hasn't done anything either.
Ask yourself this question, "If I was to bring a new business to Knox, where where I put it." Oh, you could buy one of the houses on Hwy 35 for over $100.000. Then you would have to tear it down and spend another $100,000 to build a new one. Then if you need parking, you would have to buy and second house, tear it down and build a parking lot. Well, what if you build on a empty lot south of town? No water, no sewer. Extra money going out.
Maybe the city should extend Main St. some more and add some more water and sewer.
What do you think? Or don't you care either?

Media Ask....Who is Obama....After the Election

Tom Brokaw and Charlie Rose on the Charlie Rose Show.
ROSE: I don't know what Barack Obama's worldview is.
BROKAW: No, I don't either.
ROSE: I don't know how he really sees where China is.
BROKAW: We don't know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.
ROSE: I don't really know. And do we know anything about the people who are advising him?
BROKAW: You know that's an interesting question.
ROSE: He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational (sic) speeches, two of them.
BROKAW: I don't know what books he's read.
ROSE: What do we know about the heroes of Barack Obama?
BROKAW: There's a lot about him we don't know.

Elections are Over....Finally
On the National stage, we have been going at this for almost 2 years. That's 2 years to long. I think that the US will be in a world of hurt after Jan. 20, 2009. We'll have to wait and see. I hope that the Congress will step up and do their jobs and get the country on track.
Our local elections are over with some interesting results. Seems that the Estok clan (who by the way must think that killing babies that are aborted but born alive is ok just like Obama) got what they wanted. I wonder if Dennis will run for Mayor in 3 years? Just what did Danford expect after screwing up the county highway and the counties money?? He should have came up with answers not just more questions. I do feel bad for everyone that lost on both sides. They put a lot of work, effort and time into running. Hang in there. Your all good folks.
More to come on our great mayor's projects, No Hunting in the country.
